Before erecting or relocating any structure such as a fence, or shed, building an addition or new home, please obtain a permit through the Village Office. Present a drawing showing the layout, placement, right-of-ways and distances from your property lines in which the new structure will be located.

Effective July 1, 2009, the Village of Swanton has joined the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) of Ohio to collect its municipal income tax. RITA is a non-profit, regional government agency that collects municipal income taxes on behalf of its 144 member Ohio Villages and Cities. All Village tax payments and forms for current or prior tax years should be mailed to RITA, P.O. Box 477900, Broadview Heights, Ohio 44147-7900; phone number 800-860-7482. Please utilize the following links below to access more information about RITA or to obtain the necessary filing forms. As always the Village Tax Department is available to assist you in the filing and preparation of your Village Income Taxes. Village income taxes are due on April 15.
